I am about 20 cards in the football HOF set so this will help.

I interviewed Jim Parker a couple times and got real friendly with him. Of at least enough that he called me a couple time to chat, that is before his health got worse a few years ago. Glad to see he is still around, great guy.

I will get the card in the mail tomorrow. The HOF football set is a fun and challenging set to complete. I needed to refocus myself on some other things I am collecting. It sounds like Parker is a good guy, I think he passed away though a few years ago.

Yeah, Goggle shows me he died in 2005. When I got to know him he had moved to some major city so he could be closer to his son, cant remember which now. It was his son who had mentioned his fathers health problems to me, I am guessing 7-8 years ago now.

Parker was a great guy. Always signed autographs TTM, in person or whenever. Loved talking about football and the old days.

Should have looked up his health before I typed something.
