Do Vouchers Really Expire?

I found my vouchers from the last two renewals to PSA Collectors Club. One expired June/07 and the other expires in June/08. I called PSA to see if they would allow me to use the older voucher (June/07). I told her I was current on my membership. She said no that it was over 6 months old. Has anyone else had to eat a voucher? It just rubs me the wrong way to have missed a 6 card voucher. I know I should have used it before the dead line but I forgot they expired. Anyone else had any luck using expired vouchers?

never tried it, i got 3 that expire 7/2008,so i got time if i dont lose em, vouchers expiring sucks, you should have told em that lolimage
  • I usually return my vouchers and asked them to put the credit back on to my card. Why have a voucher, I much rather have a refund.

Please note: These are vouchers that were given when cards wouldn't be holdered due to size requirement. Not the 6 free vouchers you get with your membership.

    Rube,
I asked to speak to her boss but she said she was out and would be back later but I could leave her a message. If I would have remembered I would have redeemed them at the National when I got your YA Tittle autograph. How are you doing with that set?

Think some of upper management are out until Jan 2nd.

Happened to Stone and they allowed him to use them.

You need to speak with someone that can make a descision.

    good luck.

You are talking about the 6 free grades you get for being a member?

    Good for you.

    Yup, I remember that.

I'm looking at a voucher right now. It says "good for 6 months from date of issue"

    Good luck

You might be able to convince them that those vouchers constitute a "gift certificate" which in California, cannot have an expiration date by law. I don't know if it applies to you if you do not live in California, or if it does apply because PSA is in California, but maybe someone more familiar with legal matters can comment.
  • Well, they already have your money they should allow you to use them. Let us know how it turns out.

I've included some expired ones in a submission, along with a note, and they've honored them. The six-month expiration is crap, particularly since they're tied to a service level. Why not just give them a dollar value?

roastedcat, did they actually do this for you? I agree, I'd much rather just have my card credited.

Update: I call customer service and the lady who answered basically said the voucher expired (too bad, so sad) and that I could talk to her boss. Her boss was out right now but would be back later so I could leave her a voice mail message. I said no thanks to the voice mail.

I called back a few days later and as soon as I got a customer service rep. (I think his name was Matt) I asked him for a supervisor. He was great and said she was on the phone and did I want to talk to her boss. I told Matt the story so he could decide who I need to talk to. He asked for the voucher number and then sent me a new 6 card voucher (small blue one). He could have passed me off but he stepped up. I will make sure that I use it soon. Just some info just in case you run across an expired voucher.
