I have read they do, and I have read they don't. my question is do they? If so who has one, what price do they trade at, and how many are there known and provable?
This is a question I would like to hear about. I wanted to ask this before, but always got distracted.
any help is welcome on this issue....

Not a proof. Not even a particularly sharp business strike. And not mint state either.
60 years into this hobby and I'm still working on my Lincoln set!

An AU 1917 with die erosion that has likely been dipped. I would say that you have boatloads of enthusiasm.
