Maybe it is time for a coaching change, Shanahan has been there too long.

To think people were paying 3,000 bucks for Cutler rookie cards at the beginning of the season! LMAO

It could be worse, you could have thw Ravens for your home team. We live in the People Republic Of Maryland, and have been mortified by the Ravens play this year. I know we've been crushed by injuries, but.......

May the Bronco's and Ravens have a better year next year.

The Broncos definitely are lousy this year. However, as a life long fan of the Broncos I put this down year in perspective. During the 60's and early 70's the Broncos were a year in and year out laughing stock that served as patseys for opposing teams. A long drought for Denver fans. Then in the later 70's Denver started to play better and made it to the 1978 Super Bowl (where they got trounced by the Cowboys). They remained competitive thereafter and in 1983 got Elway in a trade with Baltimore. From 1983 through 1998, with Elway at the helm the Broncos had lots of success, including five more trips to the Superbowl. Two of the Superbowls resulted in Bronco victories (the 1998 and 1999 Superbowls). Elway retired after the 1999 Superbowl and the teams still performed very well. Only the 1999 team and the 2007 team finished under .500. Since Elway retired Denver has been a post season regular and would have made it to its 7th Superbowl in 2005 if "The Bus" and the rest of the Steelers had not steamrolled everyone.

Since Elway joined the team in 1983 the Broncos have been one of the most successful franchises (winning percentage) in the NFL and have sold out every home game for decades. Shanahan has been a great coach for Denver and I would not be surprised to see Denver back in the playoffs again next year.

So in short, the fact that the Broncos are lousy this year does not bother me in the least.

As a life long Chiefs fan, I would trade you Herm Edwards for Shanahan any day. You might be having a bad year, but you beat us twice and the second game was 7-41!

Dang!! Darin beat me to it!! KC is FUBAR!!
  • Sanction nailed it pretty good. All proud franchises go through something like that...kind of like the Celtics.

For pro franchises, sometimes it is just your turn...on both the winning and losing ends.

Maybe Plummer wasn't so bad after all...

Heard someone on the radio saying the Donkeys
spent so much on their two shut down corners that there was nothing left to spend on defense.

His point was that if you build a decent defensive line, your corners shouldn't be all that important.
Somebody at the top in Denver apparently doesn't understand NFL football, as it's played today, all that well ...

    Ditto for the Chiefs.

At least Denver knows they can turn it around because Carl Peterson isn't the GM. We don't stand a chance.
