1953 Washington Quarter Proof DDO help please

Comparing this with some photo's available to compare this looks like a DDO.
Is it?
The lower part of G in GOD looks really doubled.
Maybe its machine doubled.

I don't see anything on the O but I see what looks like a split serif on the bottom right of the G........and the R.....!oh and happy holidays.

I think its definetly a ddo. proofs are pretty easy for me to see. I have cherry pick so many proof set recently. all denominations are loaded. just gotta have the eye.

I have found one for sale on Ebay, it looks very much like mine. What is the difference?

If you look at the date, it is obviously not the doubled die. The 1 and 5 and 3 on the DDO have noticeable doubling to the right.

The doubling you're seeing on the motto is series doubling-present on ALL quarters from all Mints from the early '50s-including Proofs.

That is on pg 185 of the cherry pickers guide 4th edition vol.II

Although the date in your pic does not match the OP pic I still think there is something to your coin..........from the pic yours is clearly "notched on the right lower corner of the
"G" and the "R"..

Maybe someone who is up on this will chime in on this...............either way good eye

I gave it one more shot at the pictures.
The date looks doubled but not quite the same as shown by
IRCWCoins picture.
But the motto looks the same.
