Heritage Catalog!!!!

I was very curious as to why the dog was barking around 1:00 this afternoon. I went to the door to see the post man. He had what looked like a nice big box. At first I thought Platinum set has arrived, but no this box was alot heaveier. I opened it to find two FUN Heritage catalogs. Not damaged like the usual catalogs I get from them.

I wasn't expecting this at all. A day before Christmas, awsome. Lots of useful stuff and beautiful pictures of the coins.

Thank you Heritage.

Anyone else get this kind of surprise?

My big box arrived today at about the same time. Lots to look at today and tomorrow!
    When in doubt, don't.
  • I only checked 2 sections yet, matte proof lincolns, and capped bust half dimes. I am really impressed with the both of them. I didn't order them at all. I guess the money I spent there this year and am spending at FUN was good enough to send it. If I get a bill, I dont care, the books are great. A very nice addition to my Numismatic Librarey.

Lots of time dreaming with these things.

It's finally happened - Platinum Night is bigger than the rest of the auction. image

Got my box today too. At first I thought it was a bullion shipment image

But Heritage catalogs are the next best thing. Yeah, the Platinum night section almost makes the rest of the catalog sort of a let-down.

  • Platnium Nites is the best catalog of the year I have gotten from any auction house. I am really impressed this time.
  • Received my box today as well... compliments of Heritage thanks to an advertisement in the current issue of Penny-Wise from EAC. The Platinum catalog looks great, but likely beyond my budget. The FUN 2008 catalog looks more my speed. Regardless of auction wins or losses, I expect to keep these as references for quite a few years.

I just received the January 14 Stack's catalog for ancient Greek coins, and it's way better. I'd love to see what the print bill was for that one! The paper stock is absurdly heavy and bright, and every page is printed in 4-color plus a metallic ink 5th color background surrounding the coin photos. This, plus the detailed descriptions and background about the coins, leaves me in awe.
    When in doubt, don't.

My postman filed for workman's comp after carrying the catalogues. Wow. I wish I could be there to watch the action. I'm interested in seeing how the market absorbs those great coins. Hopefully, everyone is fully extended prior to the FUN Regular Sale.

  • I wish I still recieved my Stack's catalogs. I stopped getting them a few months ago for some reason. They said they will come, hopefully I get that one your desribing. Sounds very nice.

I would like to see better catalogs from auction houses.

The big ones are stepping up though...

But I also had the Superior Catalog and the new QDB Lincoln Cent Book. My name, as well as mgoodm3 and 66RB, are in the Credits and Acknowledgments Section. image

But, in addition to all that, I picked this up from my PO Box today:

I thought they left it out by mistake. I guess not. image But I'm glad to have your company in the coach section. image Congrats on the new coin, and especially for the credits in the QDB Lincoln Cent Book.

I received all the HA catalogs, all the Stack's catalogs and a very thin Superior catalog.

All together, exactly 20 # - and worth their weight in gold.

Thanks to the Internet, I've already previewed them.
