  • I expect you'll be ok.

You got a good price for that Morgan.

Wow, as a seller your buyer sucks. (his rating is in the 3's)!

Hope it works out for you.

    Good for you.
  • I think you may run into trouble. In the title you said ANACS 64 DMPL, essentially implying the coin was graded as such, however the holder only states 64.

I would call the title misleading, very misleading. It strongly suggests it is ANACS certified DMPL which it is definitely not.

You shouldn't worry about anything unless it actually happens

you can ruin your whole life worrying about things that never happen

As the buyer's negatives are probably on his sales side (and not his buying side, based on his star ratings) I'd say you're ok.

I agree with Braddick, buyers negs are probably related to having a 4.0/5.0 for items as described

who knows what they will do when then realize the ANACS coin is not a DMPL except in sellers eyes and title

You got $153 for a common date MS64. Yes, you should be worried - that the buyer will sober up.

that's what 2nd chance offers are for. "First buyer sobered up and didn't want the coin. it is now yours for your bid. And BTW, please note that DMPL is my opinion of the coin and not designated on the holder by ANACS."
  • I think the wording is abit misleading, but the coin is certainly a dmpl. I have seen coins with that on the slab, and wondered how they gave it that. this coin should have it on the holder. $153, i think is abit on the high side though. still a nice coin.
  • Dang, looking at it from a buyers point of view, I can see how it is somewhat misleading. Hopefully he noticed that it didn't say DMPL on the holder before he bid. I guess I'll wait out the 7 days and if nothing happens, I'll send a SCO with the message notwilight posted.

I think the buyer may get the coin and have a problem since the title says "DMPL", the top line in the auction says "DMPL" yet the slab doesn't and the text says "reverse has DMPL"......that means the seller didn't make a typo, purposefully put DMPL in the title knowing the slab doesn't state such....

There will likely either be a return, shared negatives, or a reduction in price (after the fact)

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

  • Update:
Well it's been nearly 3 weeks and I've had no contact from him and no payment (of course). I hate it when people just ignore emails and leave the people on the other end hanging. image Oh well...guess it's time to relist. image

You can always just list on the BST for for us...image

Considering the potential for problems with the title I think you should be happy with the non pay. May have saved you some hassle.

Yeah...but I would have much preferred him just contacting me and saying he had a problem--then I would have let him out of it. In the relist I fixed the title and changed the wording of the description so it says pointedly that DMPL isn't noted on the holder. I don't foresee there being any more problems.

    edited for spelling
