I've had this a while and do not remember why I bought it ,except for the cool die cracks.I see a lot of threads about VAMS and wondered if this was one.Also are all the D mintmarks this small?The wreath is weakly struck.

Yes, just common die cracks. Almost all 1921-D's were poorly struck, and the small D is what was used on all of them.
