Home World & Ancient Coins Forum

Another Christmas and New Years, another great forum year!

This year has seen a variety of new posters, we welcome them all!

Always a slow but steady calender refresh, what a pleasant forum to post in!

The most polite, knowledgeable and absolutely prime coin-heavy new posters on the web! Hey do you like this? I'm pulling a Stan Lee, all exclamation marks!

Marvels best issues may have been without exclamatory punctuation...

This forum has always been like a second home-if you don't know where to go on the Internet, well, PCGS World and Ancient Coins Forum calls seductively; with images, comments, history, information, pleasant conversation, news, rare pieces, ugly pieces, scams, theft, coin sex (not really, coin misogyny other than mules has never been seen here before).

Sigh... I'm happy to be here.image

Hey, how are all the regulars doing? Any late-minute Coin Bling?

Yesterday, while at my local hole-in-the-wall coin shop getting my grandson his yearly ASE and proof set, I picked up a nice '73 Canadian dollar that needs a bit of a bath. The coin probably has spent a bit too much time in the flip, but the price was right and I have not had a fix in awhile. image

The reason I like this forums is that all the buttheads reside in other portions of the forums.. People are nice, polite, helpful, and don't put each other down. I am glad that I found this forum. I can't say enough about: 1960NYGiants, Rickc300, and Pressen. Thanks Guys!

  • I think the "Darkside" is actually the best place, I have given up on U.S. coinage........ And it's true, Darksider's are more helpful, Responsive, and the most socialiable (Sp.) You won't find any flaming on this board. Some of the Darksider's here are the best and most trusting. They stick to their word, and if you do business with them, They usually throw in an extra or two, Not to mention a fair price. Sure there are some "Litesider's" here as well, But they are good people too. The weekly BST board is such a bonus, I've done business with Roman, Brad Swain, LordM, as he is appropiately known. And several other's, Trustworthy, Prompt, and fair price's, sometime's, Actually many time's they get you the coin you are looking for, and it's below Fair Market Value....... Oh, and Lest i forget, these folk's are actually human and have alot of heart and soul. You guy's and gal's know who you are........ It's hard to express the fondness i have for them.......

While i have time, I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New year, Take care and God Bless,

Well said, I couldn't agree more!

You got that right, this is THE place to be if into darkside coinage!

I've had a number of good deals from the members here (both buying and selling) and not a single problem encountered... Go ahead and try that anywhere else, This place is the best!

We all know who they are... Even though the same question may be asked a hundred times by a hundred new members they are the ones who take the time to answer anyway and welcome all of the newcomers with open arms and share their knowledge in our hobby...

This forum is the best! Merry Christmas and may Santa be kind to all of us darksiders!

Hi Laurent! Thank you so much for the warm wishes and for being a light in the middle of all this Darkness... image You have been a steady and positive contributor to this forum and we all appreciate it. I also agree that this place is full of friendliness and cheer, and a standard of class in our hobby. I would like to thank all for participating in this great place! And a Merry Christmas and Happy and successful New Year to all.

As for me, I haven't been buying for a couple years, but once in a while an exception jumps out at me to prove the rule. Not long ago I bought a nice 1934 Polish 5 groszy piece from Blackhawk and a couple days ago it came back NGC AU 55. So my small Polish collection gained another very worthy addition. Thanks, Bill!!

    Merry Christmas Laurent and all:

I bought a couple of pieces late this year from a fine forum member, but otherwise it has been a quiet year for purchases. I hope to get to some shows in 2008.

Merry Christmas to all. I truly enjoy reading the darkside board. I picked up a set of four 1998-2001 Great Britian Piedforts off ebay.
