That was a pretty darn good rip. Aren't half sovereigns .1177 oz.? With gold at 811.70, you just made 35.50.

Hey, some of us collect coins of naked guys on horses! Of course, I'm probably a little older than your goddaughter . Always nice to get gold below melt, and a nice proof to boot. Great present!

I went back over the scenario and figured out what happened. the seller had another half-sov in the case marked as $110, when asked about it, the dealer referred to it as a sov (I wasn't sure of the size so I assumed she was correct), ...I asked about what other halves they had. out came this half which I guess the dealer audibled to be 50% (+) of the 'sov' in the case which I bought. dealer audibles to a price of $60 which I take.

a few months ago I lost out on a morgan this dealer called a 65/66 which graded 64, Ill take this as things just netting out for the good...

I'd go back and buy all the half sovs she wanted to sell at that price. I'd ask for a bulk discount!
