How big is a 1/12th Taler?

Size of a dime? bigger? smaller? see one I like but can't tell size from picture. I'm trying to avoid real small coins because these old eyes can't take it anymore.

I dont have the precise size right now, but here is a visual of one in a PCGS holder.

  • Thanks. That appears to be a good size coin. Maybe like a quarter.

Yep, I've got a few Brandenburg 1/12 thalers from the late 1600's; they're 25mm across, a bit bigger than a US quarter, but they're much thinner, and the low-grade silver they used has turned a real pretty pink tone.

Apparently I have been awarded one DPOTD. B)
