I have been trying to hone my imaging skills and have one final set of images for you to look at, I promiseimage
I have shown this set so many times you must know tired of it.
I think the pictures are accurate and want to know which background you like best?

  • I like the middle one with the light brown gradient background.

    Good work.

I rate them best to worste, bottom to top. The top is far less appealing than either of the other two.

the bottom works best for me. 1953 is really a tough year to find nice coins: the number of sets is higher than proceeding years but the Mint didn't do anything to stop the hairlining from the packaging while still not having perfected die preperation to any high degree. just by coincidence i was at the local shop on Thursday and put a nice 1953 set in "layaway" that has a dead Cameo Half-Dollar that's minimally hairlined, perhaps PF66CAM if the obverse carbon spot can be reduced to any degree. it figures, doesn't it, i cherry a nice cam and it has the spot while all the brilliant coins are spot free!!image

Black background looks best to me. Have you checked that Cent to see if its a DDO? looks like a fat one in the date....

  • I think the black background really makes the coins "pop"- nice proof set and nice images BTW.

    Stefanie,

I did the same thing a few months ago, not as nice as what you have done though image, and got the same answers.....stay with the black background in most cases as it is better for the look and preferred by most.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
