Home Buy, Sell, & Trade - U.S. Coins

I lost a bet and now I need a Morgan -

I lost a bet to my 10 year old son today and I told him I would buy him any coin he wanted - within reason of course - so now I am asking the group if anyone has a nice, inexpensive Morgan Dollar available in a PCGS holder. I would like to keep it around $25 if possible but I am open to all suggestions.

Thanks for your help -

Mark

    Mark:

$25 for any Morgan in a PCGS holder could be tough, what with the basal value of the coin itself plus the cost of grading being at least $18 each plus postage.

An MS61-62 1921-P on eBay would probably be your best bet.
    When in doubt, don't.

I am afraid if I'm not careful he'll catch the Morgan fever and then I'll really be in trouble!

Thanks for the eBay suggestion -

Yea, for a certified one your probably looking at around $40 anyway, gl

  • Mark --- Getting a decent PCGS Morgan for under $40 delivered will be a hard one to pull off... of course, the key word is decent...

Right now, I have several Morgans listed on ebay...the only one close to your suggested price range is a 78-S in PCGS MS62... opening bid is $45... with a free S&H offer for all CU Forum members.

Does it have to be PCGS? I can let you have this one for $30 which includes shipping with delivery confirmation:
