ID Help: Hexagonal Foreign Coin

Strange coin, looks like Silver, the reverse is very worn, but here's the Obverse:

  • Thanks. Must be from the 1800s then. I just checked the 1900s for Egypt, and yes, there is a Hex, Hatted but it's a Copper coin.
  • Egypt 2 Piastres AH1363/1944 KM 369. .0450 ASW, F .40 VF $1 mintage listed as 32,000.
  • Aha! My 2005 Krause does not pciture that coin (KM# 369) but gives the precise details you list. Which edition do you see the pic in? Thanks.
  • A picture is shown in my 1990 edition Krause (I still use it more than any other because it lists the 1800s thru the date of publication). I hate lugging around 3-4 books when out coin hunting, it gives mintages so I can get an idea of how hard a coin is to find even if the prices may be out of date...
