A simple concept to add errors to the registry. What do you think?

I've been giving some thought to the addition of errors to the registry, due to all the perceived interest.
I think that this is potentially a huge undertaking, however, I've come up with a simple solution, I think.
There would be a Large Error Type Registry Set, and additional subsets consisting of smaller type sets for certain time periods. Like the regular type sets there would be a Complete (error) type, 1792-1964, another for errors from 1900 - date, and a third modern type error set, 1959 - date.
There would be an entry for your "favorite" error for each year/date.
Optional coins could be those coins without a date, or other oddities. PCGS coins usually have a grade for rating, but this registry series would, obviously, be more for fun. (And may be a positive step towards making the registry a little more fun and a little less competitive. The goal would be a series of great scans.)

I've been thinking along the same lines. I think you have it right on the money!!(NPI) The 1792 -1964 would be extremely difficult to complete. 1900-present strikes me as a challenge, yet doable.
PCGS would have to lighten up a little on crossovers in this area.
You mention a person's "favorite" error would be used for each slot. I agree, noting that this would provide no differentiation between clips, off centers, off metals, broadstrikes, etc.
I'd bet that somehow the competition would begin to creep in anyway, which should be fun in itself.
The 1900-present set would be, I predict, very popular.
High Desert
Definitely a challenge, even 1900 to present HighDesert. I've dug out a few of these for my next couple submissions. A VG at least fills the slot until I can upgrade.
I'd love my 120 degree rotated between strikes cent to be certified.
