How is numismatics pronounced?

There is a raging debate in my family. There are too sides:
One side witch thinks it is pronounced num-is-ma-tics,
the other side says num-is-maticks.
Which is correct?

Shoot, now I can't decide, if you put the long a in the first one it sounds like the second one.

I reckon that the second way is with a short "a" like "nu-miss-mutiks" which is the wrong way.

You haven't seen raging debates until you enjoy a holiday with Longacre's in-laws. I am a lawyer, I married a lawyer, my father in law is a lawyer, my sister in law is a lawyer and she married another lawyer, and my other sister in law is a lawyer, who, surprisingly, married a lawyer. Then throw my other sister in law from Seattle who works at Planned Parenthood and is so liberal that she makes Longacre look like a George Bush-lovin', ultra right wing conservative, and the sparks truly fly around the dinner table.

I had to listen to it say loupe. Never having heard someone pronounce it, and me having only purchased several on the net, once thought it was pronounced something like La-ow-p, as in Van Gogh louped off his ear.
