1908 No Motto $20 ~~ Grade Opinions

Here is a nice 1908 St Gaudens (No Motto) $20 Double Eagle. What grade would you put on the CoinWorld holder (no 2x2 carboard flip for this baby, LOL) for it. Simply looking for some grade opinions. Thanks for taking a looksee... image

I knew I couldn't agree with fc twice in one day image I will say 58. That picture may not be the best, though.

Impossible to grade from those pics so I'll guess MS63.

It is tough to grade from the image, but I think MS63. The hits on the legs and chatter under the eagle limit the grade.
  • The pictures aren't detailed enough to really tell but I'll say I have a 1908 No Motto that is a PCGS 64 that doesn't look as good as that. Mine has hits all over it.

There is glare on most of the high points that I wouold look for rub, so it's impossible for me to grade from the photos. I'd love to see it in hand!

    64

The grainy photo seems to help difuse every hit on the coin. Looks sort of borderline gem to me in those photos. Less than typical strike weakness on the eagle's lower breast feathers.....or is the grainy texture giving it that look?
