Fed Ex and Mint Shipping

Just a curiosity question if anyone knows the answer. My platinum 10th anniversary set looks to be coming to my house while I am at work on Monday. Can a put a letter on the door asking it to be deleivered to a neighbor? I sure it all comes down to whether or not the carrier wants to but thought it would be worth a shot. I am a little surprised these are coming on Christmas Eve, sure fed ex would have preferred another day.

  • They need your signature in person - they won't even let you sign the doorhanger and leave it for the next day. You'll have to go down to the FedEx location listed on the doorhanger and pick it up or they will try to redeliver the next day. Of course you will be working then too - there must be a lot of people who don't work and are home all day, unfortunately, not me!

That is what I was afraid of. I dont think I will see them until Thursday or so then...... the fed ex location is pretty far from me to get to.

  • The location by me is a haul too and its in a warehouse area of town. They are open until 8. I love walking out into a dark parking lot with multiple thousands of $ of coins in hand!

Actually you can...I had an item valued at $1,300.00 dropped off at my guest house. What you have to do is go to a FedEx site or talk to a driver to get an instruction slip that you have to sign/waive and give specific instructions for drop off. I just did this about a month ago. Good Luck!
