According to Daniel W. Valentine ("The United States Half Dimes", 1931, ANS, New York) there are four 'varieties', V1 and V2 with the mint mark above the bow, and V3 and V4 below the bow. Al Blythe ("The Complete Guide to Liberty Seated Half Dimes") added two more, the V5 Blundered date, with what appears to be an errant 2 in the gown, and the V6 Micro S Misplaced Date, which is actually Valentine's V4. So there appear to be five (5) confirmed die marriages, with one duplication (V4/V6). There undoubtedly will be more for this under-studied date.
They that can give up essential Liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither Liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin
