  • Eh, nice set. But to me, the most enjoyment you can get out of a 7070 is putting it together yourself, coin by coin.
My humble '63 mint registry set, not much, but it's mine!

Although the provenance is good, I'd be a bit leery of shelling out that kind of money for raw coins even if I had it to shell out. Hard to tell from the photos but I'd be surprised if there weren't at least a few with the dreaded altered surfaces.

I didn't even look at the grades, just the color of the coins. I think if I were to offer this, my pictures would be a whole lot better!

  • $175.00 for shipping?!

Why would anyone spend moon money for raw coins like that - based on those images?

Edited to add: And, if you did have a "great" collection like this, why would you try and sell on eBay with a high opening minimum?! Why not consign
    to an auction house?!

I thought eBay prohibited placing any reference to value in the title of an auction listing.image

Odd, he lists 5 large cents in the set, but the 7070 only has ports for 4 large cents.

Wonder if that is the same dealer I saw at a local show here a month or so ago image
I forgot his name but he was from Pahrump as well...said he mainly drives around and also does ebay.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

most of the fun in a type set is the hunt and progress an individual makes as they go. Nice set for sure, but for that kinda dough I could have way more fun tracking down my own set , one piece at a time....
