Great rarities fought over by rich folk, who show them off to other rich and wannabe rich folk, who

If you've got it, flaunt it, if you don't, then envy it - is that what coin collecting is all about?
Or is it about sharing the possibility that George Washington may have touched this coin?
1792 Bust Half Disme VF25 PCGS Old Green Holder PQ. It's got a lot of meat on it for a 25.

I collect 20-slab, blue plastic PCGS coin boxes. To me, every empty box is like a beating heartimage NOT.

People come up sometimes, and ask me, G99G, are you kidding? And I answer them no, I am NOT KIDDING.

Every empty box?
C'mon!

Don't know about "got it flaunt it"', but I do like seeing rarities I could only dream about shared here on the boards and the history associatted with them. image

Did I forget to mention the education with each cool piece also? image

Hey, one does not have to be rich to acquire one or two great rarities for their entire coin collection plus a lot of very common but enjoyable coins like lincoln cent wheaties, etc.

A person with limited financces could stretch once or twice in their lifetime to buy the one or two coin of their (or anyones) dreams with a little effort but quite possibly they might have to sacrifice something else.

if you ask me, anything from 1792 is a true antique and quite
rare. normally something that old you do have to be wealthy
to afford due to its age. it is the nature of the beast.

i do not see people who live check to check buying 2500 dollar
furniture from 1890s, nor do i see them driving antique cars..

but i do see them with 2500 dollar big screen tvs so they can watch
tv while smoking cigarettes and marijuana while drinking a sport
    drink.

it is all about priorities. we are a rich country. some people blow
their wad on stuff that loses its value over time or goes up in smoke.

    c'est la vie.
