Would one in poor-1 condition or so have any value comparable to American pieces of the same era?

<< <i>Huh? >>
Simply put, is it worth anything?
Generally, I think US Federal and Colonial pieces would sell for more.

I could barely tell what it was, I had to go by what the person selling it to me told me it was. I know nothing about British coins. It looks like it was in circulation for all 200 years of its existence, it's that worn down. You can see George's head on one side, Brittania on the other, a few letters on the side of the profile, and that's about it. But I paid .20 for it (in nice, original condition), and it's a neat conversation piece. Plus the sheer weight of the copper (if that's all that's in it) is pretty hefty.
When you can find a buyer. They're pretty common.
