Without a doubt Reggie. I was in Vegas at the Sema show wearing the badge of Scott Brayton, Indy car racer who is now deceased. On of my clients sponsored his car and got me into the show. Reggie when I went up to him acted like a complete jerk.

Joe Morgan was an ass to me about 2 years ago at a show for no reason. I tried to engage him in small talk about who he thought were the top teams in the majors (it was mid year 2005 or so), and he said he didn't know. Here I am giving him a chance to pop off with all of his grand baseball knowledge and he blew me off.

    Baby arm to him.

    Buying Vintage, all sports.
Buying Woody Hayes, Les Horvath, Vic Janowicz, and Jesse Owens autographed items
  • I've never spoken to him, but I hear Pete Rose is a real a-hole. He lives in the next town over and I have seen him out in bars,
but based upon his reputation, I am too afraid to approach him. I know people who have, with bad results.
  • Dwight Evans, hands down, met him on two different occasions, and once at a card show, was rude, and a jackass on each occasion.

runner up. Albert Belle, nuff' said.

Nicest guy besides Stargell was Willie Parker

Meanest guy was Ryne Sandberg, signed a mutliple HOF item over Ted Williams signature.
Currently completing the following registry sets: Cardinal HOF's, 1961 Pittsburgh Pirates Team, 1972 Pittsburgh Pirates Team, 1980 Pittsburgh Pirates Team, Bill Mazeroski Master & Basic Sets, Roberto Clemente Master & Basic Sets, Willie Stargell Master & Basic Sets and Terry Bradshaw Basic Set
  • Willie Wilson when he just got out of jail at spring training when he was with K.C. Royals had my sons picture taken with him this was in 1982 and asked him to sign it so I could put it in a scrap book and he said it was bad enough to hold him now you want me to sign it to. He didn't but all the rest did including George Brett and several others.

Hank Aaron singlehandedly turned me off to collecting autographs back when I was a teenager. The ridiculous price of show autos would have eventually done so anyway, but at the time, sigs of even major stars were under $10. Anyway, Aaron was not necessarily an active jerk, but he was so cold and distant and the process so robotic that I haven't collected autos since.

collecting RAW Topps baseball cards 1952 Highs to 1972. looking for collector grade (somewhere between psa 4-7 condition). let me know what you have, I'll take it, I want to finish sets, I must have something you can use for trade.

looking for Topps 71-72 hi's-62-53-54-55-59, I have these sets started

  • Willie Mays is probably number one. I have met Reggie a few times and he had always been a jerk but a month ago in Chicago at the Sun Times show he was very cool at the motel and signed a baseball perfectly for me after he finished his breakfast. Kirby Puckett before everything came out about him was totally awesome. After SI did their piece on him he was pretty much a jerk. I just saw Pete Rose this past weekend in Vegas and he was very cool but other times he has been difficult. I think everyone has their good and bad days and can be on either the cool list or the jerk list.
Always looking to buy old Minnesota Twins and Vikings memorabilia like Nodders, Photo Pennants, and Photo Buttons.

Joe D, he decided he would sign anything with anyone else's picture on it about 1/3 way through the show. People had to scramble to find other items, since most wanted Ted/Joe signed photos
