I should have sold right away, when they were selling for $4200 now they are around $2900.
Will this dirty rotten ever make a turn around?
First strike, MS70 and all.
Bummer

The hope is that the reverse proof will make the platinum collector base expand a bit. When they finally have to have the rarities the price may start to climb again.
If your baseline is $1,400 or less - I wish all of my coin speculations were this horrible.
I knew it would happen.
First year keys do not yet have a set to drive them and tend to stay flat for a while until the set has enough members to create a damand bottle neck. You will have to set the 2006-w asside and let the set grow over the next 5 years or just go ahead and dump it.
Where are you going to put your money and pick up a 3,000 mintage mintage rarity in the 2006-w price range? Do you see how many flippers there are out there that jump on anything that even looks like it has hope. How many serious coins do you expect to get past the much better informed flipper masses in the next few years?

I was getting the yearning to sell it and buy a sweet old classic that I could not really afford. Maybe a 1798 bust dollar or the like.
Dam crystal ball is always out of order, I think I will send it back. LOL
<< <i>OK OK that will be enough of all you folks making sense to me. LOL

Well if you put it that way just sell it. You need to work on your virtual 7070
<< <i>what was the deal with that coin/year/mintage anyway... >>
Lowest mintage ever for a 1 oz Platinum coin, plus 1st year of minateg for the W Burnisg=hed finish.
