What say you?
PL?

For some reason it is very difficult to image this one I am not sure if it is the toning or me? Is it possible to have an extreme proof like reverse and only semi proof like obverse. I can read print from the reverse. But, I can only see print in certain areas on the obverse.
I took photo's outside in natural light and inside.

interesting coin, tough call......from the pics I'd say no PL,.....62.......image

edit to add, fields are really clean, the face rub kills it for me, 62 may be to harsh...what do I know about Morgans ? image

yes, one side PL and one side regular is an occurance since dies were not changed at the same time and working the dies were not done simultaneously either.

Your's looks nice and PL on the REV.

My grade is a MS62. Too much chatter/skuffs/hits for me to warrant a higher grade. Breast feathers are mushy

I'll go with a 63 borderline PL but both sides have to meet the requirement.

I would go with the 62...good strike, a few too many marks on the cheek, cap and neck area. As far as the PL it is hard to tell from the photos so I will just say 'Yes', the reverse can be (and often is on the 79's) much more mirrory than the obverse. I have a couple 79-S's that are very PL on the reverse but no PL at all on the obverse.

  • Either AU55-58 or MS64. Those could be friction marks, and would possibly be ignored...
    No PL though...

It's hard to tell just how serious those scuffs on the cheek are in this image, so I'll say 63 with the caveat that I could be persuaded to go to 64 if they are superficial, and down to 62 if they are more significant.

Nice coin. I go with a 63 but in person could be 64. No PL.
