Help With Grade on a $10 Gold Moffat

I'm posting this for a friend who eyeballed this coin on a construction site 25 years ago. I say it's not in too bad shape for a found coin.

And.... if you're going to find a gold coin, this one has got to be one of the rarest!! image

Your opinions are greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,

Rick

BTW, the first two images are scans, the second two are digital photos......

  • Your friend FOUND it?!? That's awesome! That's a relatively high-value coin to FIND.

    XF40 by territorial gold standards.

    Low-VF obverse, high-VF reverse?

What a coin to find! image
    When in doubt, don't.
