Achieved a half dime goal today

One of my goals in this hobby was to complete a registry set of the Capped Bust Half Dime with all coins being AU. Until recently the 1837 has proved to be elusive in eye appealing AU. My set was at 100% complete but only 8 of the 9 coins were AU, the 1837 was XF and stuck out like a sore thumb. All that has changed now. 9 of 9 are in AU.
Not too long ago I was lucky enough to pick up an 1837 LM4 (Small 5C) half dime that both I and the seller graded as AU55. The coin was in NGC plastic graded as AU58. Off to PCGS the coin went and yesterday the results came in. It's now in PCGS AU55 plastic (good job PCGS ). The coin itself has the perfect look in my opinion and is A+ in the eye appeal department. An addition I'm very proud to have in the set.
Great thanks go to the forum member who facilitated my aquiring this coin.

You wouldn't believe how long it took to get him to sit still for this.
I assume the 1837 LM-4 will be True-Viewed some time next month?
SAWEEET! Congratulations on such a fine accomplishment! I especially like the '29, '32, and the '35. Awesome coins and awesome set!

Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.
Great looking set. Now just upgrade the AU-50, it sits out like a soar thumb

Just got done looking at them. They are so evenly matched, it's hard to pick out a favorite. Just the way a set should look. Good job, brother.

Is there a new frontier of collecting in your future?
Barndog - I've got a couple needed TV's. Another photo submission should be in order the first part of 2008. If you want to tak any on let me know.
richardshipp - No new frontier. Just focusing on the original goal. Completing the entire 123 coin set.
coinJP - I began the registry set in 11/2005 so it took just over 2 years to get it where it is today. Not terribly long but longer than I originally thought it would take.
Realone - I believe you. All marriages of the CBH10¢ for 1837, LM4 included, are proving to be quite difficult to find in AU or MS. Barndog's saga proved that one clearly.
Now try to do the same thing with all 92 die marriages. I have been working on that for 25 years and am not quite there.
Nice, very nice.....
awesome set. that is a major accomplishment. you have excellent
taste for coins.

Congrats on a really nice achievement.
I only hope that my set will have the eye appeal as yours when it is complete. Once again great job.
