How do I get rid of......

What is the safest way to get rid of the green residue on this dime??
Also, what would you grade it? Thanks!!!!

  • let it soak in high-solvency acetone for several hours.

    MS65 FB? Maybe MS64 FB? It has fantastic eye appeal but a couple scratches on the cheek.

    Acetone like Will said. I'd say 64FB once green stuff is off.
  • So I read this thread title like so many others that only partly ask a question, and I thought, what's he want to know how to get rid of, ..........head lice?
    But no, it's green stuff on a coin he's asking about.
    I was going to tell him all about getting rid of head lice, and now I can't.

    That's an attractive coin to me, even with the little bit of green. I would say that might be a 65 FB, but definitely a 64FB. It would also give me great pleasure to place a sticker on that coin.
