Good Dealer Report - Modern Coin Mart

Hi Everyone:

I wanted to say some good things about Modern Coin Mart, a Collector's Universe Message Board advertiser.

I recently ordered a PCGS PR-69 DC $5 Golden Eagle for my set and was mistakenly sent an NGC
of the same year/mintmark and graded PR-69 UCAM...

Immediately after informing them, I received an email from Tom Thomas apologizing for the mistake,
and offering total refund of my return postage for the return of the NGC coin, which I sent back.
The refund of my out-of-pocket was immediate, upon receipt, and executed via PayPal.

An especially nice touch was the fact that my originally ordered coin was sent to me by USPS Express
Mail, though I had not requested that...

Talk about customer service. I am one happy camper, and Modern Coin Mart has earned my repeat business...

Thank you John, we try real hard to minimize mistakes but when you do a volume business, eliminating them is impossible. When we do make a mistake we take them seriously and correct them quickly. Everyone involved also gets a talking to so we can try to avoid a similar mistake. This is why we have been able to maintain a 100% feedback rating on eBay with over 25,000 positives. notch. I called Mr. Maben cold one time and asked if he would look at a 93-S
Morgan for me. I was a total newbie at the time and nervous. Talking to
John Maben made me at ease instantly. I made a point to find his table at a
show and thank him personally.

Not trying to one-up but when i ship the wrong coin I generally send the right coin in an oversized envelope with a SASE padded envelope to return the other coin with. --Jerry
