got to see it in hand, tilt it around in the light, look for luster breaks.

I understand, that would be nice, but the buyer can only buy on the grade and seller's reputation....knowing he can return to seller.

My main question is this......If this NGC graded coin is a truly acceptable MS62 is $1150 a good price to a collector???

The 1836 looks okay.....but that 1834 is awful dark and the right obverse field and left reverse field look even darker. No pizzaz to it.

    Maybe the picture?

This seller knows his Busties, and I have no reason to think he would be asking more than a fair profit. He does take coins on consignment, so sometimes he is required to jack up the price to make a reasonable profit. I do not know the story on these two Busties.

My feeling is that the common marriage 1825-36 Busties are bringing too much money recently. They are simply too plentiful to deserve such high prices. Also, a NGC 61 or NGC 62 Bustie seems to bring only PCGS 58 money. Usually, I would rather own a PQ PCGS 58 than a low MS NGC coin.
I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.
