certified rolls

just wondering here. i saw an ad for pcgs certified rolls. how is this done? i thought when you get a certified coin it is in a slab, so how would the rolls show up if you order them? there is no slab with a hologram or certified numbers that can be traced on the website, as far as i know. would anyone here please de-confuse me? thanks in advance.

are you sure it doesn't mean that the roll was broken up, graded individually, but then the slabs were kept as a group?

That's what it will mean... every coin in the roll has been certified by PCGS. Morgans I presume?
    When in doubt, don't.

yes it was morgans. but what do you do if you want to sell one? would you have a way to prove this to the individual that may be interested? will the customer want a slab to put it in or does it have to be sent to pcgs to encase it for him? (still confused) image

  • Some TPG's grade the whole roll, and slap a sticker, on the roll. With the grade of all the coins.

I remember somewhere seeing a very large slab with 20 holes in it for dollars and each was graded. Or did I dream that?
