Ya Gotta Love The Hypocrisy ...

So Mr. Clemens is scheduled to speak at the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association's Convention next month with the topic being how his "vigorous workout, how I played so long [in professional baseball]." But now it is being reported that Mr. Clemens has been removed as the association's keynote speaker. Yet, Jim Long, President of the Association says, "[w]e're not saying anything negative about Clemens."

So let me get this straight, in the following order ...

1. Come to our Convention ... come to our Convention ... Roger Clemens is the keynote speaker ...
2. Mitchell Report comes out ...
3. Roger Clemens removed as keynote speaker ... nor any speaker ...
4. Jim Long ... we're not saying anything negative about Roger ...

Ya gotta love it.

ESPN Article Re: Removal of Clemens

P.S. Want to see some GREAT lawyer talk from Roger's attorney: " ... I respectfully suggest it is very unfair to include Roger's name in this report," Hardin said last week in a statement. "He is left with no meaningful way to combat what he strongly contends are totally false allegations. He has not been charged with anything, he will not be charged with anything and yet he is being tried in the court of public opinion with no recourse. That is totally wrong."

Hmmm, seems like Mr. Hardin is unaware of the basic legal principle that for every wrong, there is a remedy.
