I was gonna say I hope your not setting yourself up for abuse Steve!

  • The Eagles suck.

    There I said it.

So glad that I gave up my season tickets this year. I would have lost a lot of money trying to get rid of the 6 games that I couldn't attend.

Drastic change is needed in the off season. It's pretty obvious that McNabb will stay. Maybe Reid also. They both get another pass because of McNabb's first year back from surgery. Ignore the fact that he couldn't look off a d-back if the guy was blind and that he couldn't telegraph his moves better if he had a them diagrammed on a white board strapped to his chest. Un...friggin'...believable. They better fast track Kolb or sign a vet back up. Trading Garcia was a bad move. McNabb should be driven to the State line and kicked across it for pushing the team to let Garcia go.

Reid is a pansy when it comes to leadership skills. Clock management? Don't effing ask.

So the change must come in the receiving corps and they also have to develop one of their backs to effectively spell Westbrook on some plays. Defensively they need to bring up young guys to fill in for the older vets like Dawkins.

Next year? Right now I don't see better than 10-6. They play the NFC West, AFC North, have one home with an NFC South team (TBD) and one away with an NFC North (TBD).

  • HOWEVAA!!!! Since it is Eagles - Cowboys game day...

Hey, is this some type of reverse child psychology thread you guys are trying to manipulate me with?

Yes, the Cowboy's are a better team this year but you guys know as well as I do, any given Sunday....

    Darn thread is working :0

  • Hi Matt.

    The Eagles suck.

    Jerry Jones is the Incubus.

    T.O. blows.

Jessica Simpson is a beard for Tony Romo. He actually prefers Marion Barber.

Well, I believe your analysis is basically accurate. For whatever reason, I don't think Reid personally liked Garcia, but it's quite clear and it was quite clear last season that Garcia is much better suited than McNabb for the Eagles style of offense and the types of receivers that the Eagles have, and it's not really close. McNabb, could, "could", posibly be better than Garcia with top tier receivers such as TO, but not with the 2nd tier receivers that the Eagles have.

But whatareyagonnado? Reid drafted McNabb, and he was clearly the best of that quarterback crop, and Reid seems too loyal to him, but I've seen many good and great head coaches make that mistake of hanging on to players too long because of various reasons.

I still firmly believe that Reid overall is one excellent head coach...his won-loss record proves that. Does Reid have the flaws you mentioned?...well yes he does but overall I'd like to see him stay and he will be back...there is no doubt about that. Of course having a Jim Johnson at defensive coordinator, would make any head coach look good but ya gotta give Reid credit where credit is due for doing whatever it takes to keep Johnson here. Johnson is not only I feel the best defensive coordinator in the league, but one of the best I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of NFL football games.

I don't think we're as far off in the NFC as some others think. Only against Dallas in that one game were we not competitive. Dallas and Green Bay both next season won't be as good as this season...they're just having years where everything goes right. With some tweaks and some decent free agent signings there is no doubt in my mind the Eagles will be competing again next season for the NFC championship.

I'll save the rest for the off season and the draft - right now I'm gonna focus on hopefully beating the stinkin' Cowboys.

I'm not sure if I've ever mentioned this or not but...

    THE COWBOYS SUCK!

    GO EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just can't see the Eagles winning this game unless McNabb is super sharp and I don't see that happening, especially on his second game after a layoff. image

    I'M READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL:

Back to back NFC East games. Does it get any better than that?

McNabb as usual looking pathetic out there. Put Feeley in, at least he's interesting.

You can keep your stinkin' Bucs and your wussy coach. I wouldn't trade being an Eagles fan for any other team, EVER! Unlike you who are a bandwagon jumping fan to whoever has the most handsome players.

At least SteveK roots for his hometown teams, unlike bandwagon fans like you. You need a globe to keep track of all the teams you root for.

    Absolutely.

Too much ESPN makes these guys think they can get on Sportscenter with a 105-yd INT return, though.

bump in the road matt... be happy its now. even if they win. get the bad game out of the way.

i had a bad feeling all week about this game. rivalry games always are tuff no matter the records!

  • I believe that once a year the ghost of Tom Landry appears in the officials room at Texas Stadium. Landry gives the refs a glimpse of hell and scares them into making calls in the Cowboys favor.

The refs lose all sight of the fact that Texas Stadium is already the "Home of the Antichrist."
