Pls grade this Lincoln cent!

New arrival, please grade. Streaks in right obverse field are toning, not hairlines.

    Nice Lincoln.

    66RD.

  • Looks MS 65RD but honestly, how does anyone grade from a photo of a coin in a scratched holder.

    I agree.

Photos of coins people want others to grade here need to be properly taken.

Face on (not at an angle), no plastic (slab plastic can be cancelled out), and proper lighting.

    Decent images.....i'd call it a 66.
What settings did you use on your camera? Center of the coin looks ok, blurry more towards the edges.

It does look like it was taken on an angle instead of straight on.

  • I wish I could take pictures as well as some I've seen here, but all I can say is everything you should need to see from this coin to assign a grade is definitely visible in the pictures. There are no hidden marks beyond what you can clearly see (ie around Lincoln's cheekbone area) and the true color and luster of the coin is exactly as shown. The pictures I've taken are a very good representation of how the coin looks in person, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered posting them.

  • MS-65 Red. Is it in a rattler holder?
  • Keep on postin' your pics brother! You have very nice Red Lincolns.

1926 Lincolns come very nice. Typically strike and luster are strong and your coin exhibits both of those characteristics. Do I see a minor cut under the eye or is that a slab scratch?

I would grade the coin a 65+ but would not be surprised if it was in a 66RD holder.

    Nice one!

I'd agree it's probably MS66RD, but I wouldn't be shocked if it were MS67RD! I'd give it to ya! Needs a new holder though!imageimage
