  • nice coin and luster!! give it a 65 on the reverse and 63 on the obverse - net 64 - trying to put together a set of CC's and this coin would certainly be a nice addition to it.

    a strong ms63 and perhaps an ms64.

no way, in my opinion will it make a 65,

    beautiful frosty coin though.

Seems nice... hard to tell, but it looks like it has nice luster.

Here's my 1881-CC GSA graded MS63 DPL by NGC

It's a nice MS64. But, it sure is sad that someone removed it from the GSA plastic. It had more value as it was, but
I guess if you want the PCGS plastic.....

  • Nice coin. I have one that is a later die state from yours, and shows a more pronounced reverse die crack around the UNITED area.

This is my first try to post pictures, so bear with me.imageimage

BTW this coin is an NGC MS65.

I think it could be a 65, there are some marks on the cheek but the fields are clean.

anabelp very nice 1881 in the GSA holder.

Thank you. I think it needs to be re-imaged. Plan on doing that over Christmas break...

    After you reimage, please share.

After seeing more examples, I think this 1881 cc is a 65. A good example of a cc date getting a benefit of the doubt.
