What size is better for viewing?

image

image

I have several options I guess to resize my pictures, but I could use some help. I am using paint.net to crop and then I upload to photobucket. I do want to see detail but I dont want it to fill the screen, any ideas how to accomplish that?

Oh and while I am here, does anyone know if the 6 always looks crooked in the date?

The bigger view is better for looking for minor problems as well as identifying varieties.

The smaller picture gives a better idea of what the coin looks like in hand.

This assumes equal picture quality in both.

I'm still using paint.com to crop too.

I resize to 450 high and then add reverses in MS Paint.

I need to get photoshop but I just upgraded my music notation software

and the fun money left is earmarked for coins. image

Yeah, that 600 x 600 is a cool size for top and bottom pics.
