VAM 70 is a "stealth" tough VAM. It isn't supposed to be overly hard to find, but it doesn't turn up for sale very often and the highest one I have record of is a 64PL and a regular 64. MS63 and 62 are what usually turn up. In those grades and in PCGS holders, they've seen selling for 2-3 times Grey Sheet price, or about $225-$250.
The question of what a 65 is worth is really hard to answer because the value of just the date itself takes a HUGE jump from MS64 to MS65: Grey Sheet price of a generic 1878 7TF R78 MS64 is $215 ask, while an MS65 is $1100. My guess is a VAM 70 in a PCGS holder would bring $1500-$1700, but as much as $2000 wouldn't surprise me.
An 1881-S in MS66PL is about $400 An 1885 in MS65DM is about $550-$600
