I know pictures are difficult but whenever I look at an image of a 1878-S Morgan MS62PL I always wondered if it has a cold days chance in

My best guess from the image provided is that your coin has nice Satiny to Semi-Prooflike field luster, with light cameo contrasted devices.

The carwheels don't jive with the PL designation. Perhaps almost PL.

according to PCGS grading guide, frost does not figure in on PL designation


it is all about reflectivity of fields -> clear reflection in the fields at a distance of 2-4 inches
