We can only read the first few lines w/o paying through the nose to the NY Times.
(I checked out the article from a free source – the library. It just says that most oppose minting more dollars due to the coin shortage and the dwindling stockpile of silver held by the Treasury.)
Many public libraries have free access to historical newspaper and magazine databases. Ask the reference librarian - they can get you to good sources much faster than searching the vast worthlessness of the internet.
Going to the library is reading an actual newspaper is all very well and good but that would mean having to get out of my chair and go outside into the world.
Many public libraries permit home internet connection to all of their databases. I accessed the article from home.
You, too, can find good stuff on the internet - just pick up the 'phone (remember what that is???) and call your local tax supported public library, and ask. That is why they are there!
PS: Reading - basic literacy - is a fundamental skill.

I am thinking they do though.
I may have to look for it as it has an interesting start. I do remember finding articles on the Trade Dollars and what to do with those.
