Those have been floating around for a while. I think, but am not sure, that they come from bulk submissions that don't meet the minimum grade.

This is the first one I have seen Russ.
It sure beats getting your no minimum grade coins back in body bags.

I bought ten of these dated 2005 on Teletrade 2 years ago for $130 including fees, shipping. They actually look nice and make great presents for nieces/nephews.

10 for $130 was a great deal dbcoin, even if silver was a lot lower back in 2005.

Maybe some day PCGS will start putting ALL body bagged coins in these tan and white label holders. Sooner or later even PCGS will have holders for problem coins. They are leaving way too much money on the table not doing so.

I think Teletrade had a special going on back then; free shipping

I love the Teletrade specials; $50 coupon, free shipping. They have free shipping this month.null
  • Coin Vault on HSN sells many of these coins through NGC

According to the Coin Vault. these coins are only looked at by only 1 grader and a finalizer. They (CV) gets a discount on the grading fees, and pass the (supposed) "savings" along to the customer. What they are doing is to bypass the traditional grading steps. I believe that Coin Vault has a contract of some kind with NGC to provide this service.

Perhaps Coin Vault has the same deal with PCGS?
