<< <i>The Garrett 1848 [PCGS MS66]. The only example known above MS63 for this low mintage date. Wonderful color and mint bloom.

The Fairfield 1849 [PCGS MS67]. Tied for finest certified No Motto Dollar at either service. Essentially perfect with just a touch of strike weakness.

The Akers 1854 [PCGS MS66]. The image just doesn't do this coin justice, the colors are electric and clear with fully lustrous fields.

Tough choice. I'm partial to 49ers

I'd keep the Akers piece. It's got the most superb eye appeal, which would be most important in terms of which to continue to get to see in hand.

Personally the 1854 has too much toning.
Looks great, to the point that the toning overpowers the coin.

The Fairfield 1849 has a nice strike, no apparent hits, but the color is just OK.

The Garret 1848 has subtle toning and a decent enough strike. A very nice combination. image
