Funny message from eBay member

Just received this somewhat humorous message from an eBay bidder:
Aparently ebay/paypal is not willing to give me the promised 10$ redemption code and I am noy going to pay the item before I get 10$ off. It is a shame for such a big company to trick out people by advertising it first. You have now two options, either you report me to ebay or you give me the 10$ off.
Best regards

P.s. Sorry for the inconvenience and merry christmas to you and your family

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
I have a better idea, just get in contact with me and we figure something out.
So I responded with:
Hi xxxx. I'm not sure what you would like for us to do. This sounds like an issue between you and eBay or Paypal. We would like to be paid for the item you bid on and won, and the total due is $201. We can give you another week or so to pay, if that helps.
<< <i>We would like to be paid for the item you bid on and won, and the total due is $201. >>
To the point and it even rhymes!
Why don't we do the following. We open up a disput
and close the whole transaction. You get your listing
fees back and I can contact you directly and buy the
coin from you with a bank check of 190$ including
shipping. Therefore, you do not pay the ebay and
paypal fees, and I get 10$ off.
And ebay/paypal do not get a dime of this transaction.
A bank check is 100% secure and I trust you that you
will send the item.

Chris - You should respond by saying, "How about YOU give me $20 and we call it even. Otherwise, I neg you and then report you to ebay thus getting you suspended. And have a happy holiday as well

I'd do that in a heartbeat.
while this is no doubt true (overpriced coffee, i mean) to do such would only encourage this extortion.....next time it might be $20 or $30 or more if the buyer sees that this action gets results

<< <i>Come on people! Have you just fallen off the turnip truck? This is OBVIOUSLY a scam. As soon as "Bank Check" came into the picture, it was clear. This guy set this up from the start. File your NPB, send the emails to ebay and move on!

What's a bank check, anyway? I have someone wanting to pay me by bank check. Not a good thing?

Why do some people put the dollar sign AFTER the number?
?Do they also put a period or question mark at the beginning of a sentence

A bank check or cashiers check is incredibly easy to couterfeit and can take MONTHS to come back as a bad check once you deposit it. I would not accept anything accept paypal or personal check. The broken English in this response says it all.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, the holidays and dealing with the general public. All of us who sell on EBAY, we're living the dream! It just doesn't get any better that this.
YAHA, I respectfully disagree with you. I realize it is the holidays and a time of giving. But I would rather give to those in need then let some slug like this guy weasel out of $10.

I've been on eBay for a long time and like most sellers, have gotten my share of really bizarre comments, requests, threats, etc. via eBayers. But this person's first message was so silly, I had to post it.

Read this feedback link and understand Ebay has taken side of seller on this when I asked for feedback review. Unbelievable. Ebay on the phone stated they cannot remove feedback just because you were not happy with transaction results, LOL.
This was a redflagged seller with stolen Heritage pics last Friday? night, and a cpl of us got proactive to out the crook, looks like I was shooting myself in the foot too. Anyways, again, Ebay puts profit before everything else.......4 years, 99.9% 1900+, 5 stars, they side with the crook. Go figure.
If I am welcome,I need a new seller venue, I will get in touch with ILike Coins, or whatever they are called, C Merlo..............................................

I cannot believe that slimeball hasn't been NARU'd.
ArizonaJack,
Don't give up hope. Just because one of the eBay nitwit drones told you the feedback could not be removed doesn't mean it won't happen. I've seen cases like this before where eBay was slow to nuke a scumbag, but when they finally did said scumbag's feedback comments were removed.

No way would I do that! This guy is disgruntal over $10 coupon and wants the seller to give in, then Ba/Hum/Bug to the buyer. By the way I like "Merry Christmas" better than "Merry Holidays".

The reason I stated MERRY HOLIDAYS, is the respect to all that cherish their religion during their special times. See I learned years ago how to respect all people, maybe you should also. It's your choice my friend. Yaha

I do respect all and very aware of all holidays in December, but using the "Merry Holidays" just takes Christmas out of "Christmas". Really " Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays" is more politicaly correct. Christmas Controversy
Merry Christmas.
