This is from the time my wife and I bought a 3-liter bottle of Stone Brewery's Oak Aged Arrogant Bastard Ale. We had a pretty hefty beer tasting (about eight imperial stouts) before delving into this behemouth. In this picture I'm trying to polish off the rest of the bottle. My head hit the floor soon after this image

After selecting the image from my picture file, which meets the size requirement, I keep getting an error, "format not recognized", when I try to upload the new image. It is in jpeg format. What am I doing wrong ?
    Thanks!

That's not a new icon, but rather one of my several old ones. It's a 1776 Spanish half-real I dug. My first dug coin from the 1700s.

I wear the avatar when I'm in "dig mode". (The well-known "HoleyHatIcon" is my default, but I switch 'em up sometimes.)

The avatar coin is holed, though that's disguised by the "dirt" I used to make a staged "action photo" with.

Here's an avatar pic of the reverse. A rather sucky version, at that. Too dark.

I dug a nice 1787 on the same site the following day.

Spanish reales and Draped or Capped Bust silver are not outside of the realm of possibility today, as both have been found within a block of the place we will be going (stay tuned for a new Digger's Diary episode soon). However, such early pieces are unlikely for today's potential results. My sights are set on a Seated or Barber dime today, both of which are realistic goals in the yard we'll be hunting. Indian cents are almost certainly there.

Of course, it could be a total skunkfest and strikeout, but with three of us hunting (including another CU forum member), you can lay pretty good odds that somebody is gonna find something good.

Say, TavernTreasures, if I can find the old barrel tap I dug on a Civil War campsite, I will try to get a pic for you. It's tucked away in a box somewhere. Found a Yankee eagle button and over a dozen .69 caliber Minie bullets around it.

Thanks, Yes, I did it myself, maybe 5 years ago. Don't know offhand where it and a couple of other are at the moment but I'll look for them.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, notlogical's new icon got me looking for the picture
