When comparing the statistics of this pitcher when he was in his 20's vs. when he was in his 40's, does anyone think that Nolan Ryan could have had a little "help" prolonging his career at a high level?

<< <i>With Bonds, Dykstra & Mcgwire, one look at their early baseball cards/photos vs. a look at the end of their careers, and yes it is pretty obvious. Clemens, however, was a big boy back in the mid 80's. His added weight/bulk would seem to be more of a product of time. >>
Point taken and you're right about Clemens being a big boy, but it seems that Clemens even became a "bigger boy" - I understand what you mean about people in their 40's naturally getting bigger with weight gain, but not the way Clemens was shaped...the way I see it anyway. Of course Clemens is strongly denying the accusations.
