i was right in the middle of reading a post the other day and in a flash it went POOF! i think it was the thread about 'past tense members'

<< <i>Too bad. It was a legitimate "non-bashing" discussion when I last looked in. >>
This is non-bashing?
<< <i>Why does PCGS not hire graders who can grade Seated Dimes? They are looking at too many MS70 Modern coins I guess.
Today I will remove my set from PCGS, it will go unfinished.
I do not believe that PCGS has graders with the talent to grade Seated Dimes. I have seen coins in vg holder that were at least VF. I have posted pictures of 2 dimes of the same date and asked you, the readers, which coin is a higher grade. Not 1 person picked the PCGS AU50 over the ANACS45. Why? Because depending on the day and the grader they are all over the place.
I recently took 8 dimes all NGC gradee and failry so, including a 1856 S that the vast majority of the board reader grade a MS62 or better a few months back. I looked at the coins carefully under a stereo microscope and felt 4 of the 8 would cross over with no problem at all. 3 of the 8 should cross over but might not if "they were in a bad mood" and 1 coin I did not think would but it was worth a shot.
Well I guess they were in a really bad mood or have been looking at way to many MS69/70 Eagles this week.
With this kind of result I have to just shake my head and ask what are they thinking?
