To the fulltime Coin Dealers

Are the Coin Forum discussions useful or helpful when it comes to your inventory, or do you primarily focus on your specialties and just forget the rest ? Just wondering how ya get a feel for what to deal in, if you're not Specialized.
I know lots of dealers who never read this forum, so it is obvious that I cannot have a scientific poll.

Sometimes there's discussions that are somewhat substantive and that's a good thing. Most of the time it's fun stuff and that's a good thing too.

I don't understand. Please rephrase the question.

Mitch, I'm gonna choose my title when the Huskers win the National Championship in Football. image I hope it's next year, too.

Still wondering if dealers buy into the bustle of this place and stock up accordingly or just keep on keepin' on.
Also, your son just amazes me with his ability to write. You're a good dad, Mitch... I think he's onto a great future in numismatics if he so desires.

    Kind regards,

    Joe
  • If I may, I speak a little joeberish: do the forum topics influence what you carry in your inventory? Or more simply, as a result of the forum, do you specialize in crust, bust and rust?

Do the threads regarding ALL US COINS have an effect on what you purchase for your inventory, Andy ? Or do you specialize in a particular area of numismatics and not bother with what you see here ? Will you buy ten or twelve sets of the 10th Anniversary Platinum sets to stock in your store, for example ?

Do you use us collectors on board to help you decide what you will buy at the next show or auction ?

Let me know if you're still confused. I'll use the PM function image

Aha! Thank you! The answer is no. However, it has turned me into a bit of a moderns flipper. image

The thought that some level headed , astute

coin dealer, might let the ramblings, discourses,

    ruminations, predictions, prognostications,verbal

eruptions, profundities , inanities and sardonic sophistry

fine tune their minds, is enough to boggle ones intellectual

    perspicacity.

Sound familiar ? This is the premier Royal metal.

It is the First reverse Proof as a PLAT.

It will appeal to many different kinds of folks,

Collectors of hard assets, collectors of Plat coins,

collectors of reverse PR coins, Collectors of 1/2 oz Plats

as well as world wide collectors around the globe.

Add all of those good folks up and you have an

unusual and large group of people. Large enough to soak up

the entire run of the set and then some.

This set will amaze, it will confound, it will evolve into a phenomena.
