20yrs from now i think we will talking about him as the best player of the era..(and arod obv)

All of the players listed will be known for certain strengths.

Jr. is the symbol of a complete player.

ARod is the poster child for the game.

Thomas is probably the best pure hitter, both for power and extra bases.

Maddux is the pitcher of his generation, despite his sour attitude.

Chipper is just a good ole boy of baseball, endearing in the way Pete Rose was. (my favorite Brave)

    it goes on and on

  • Ichiro?
  • And why isn't his nickname Itchy?
  • The list isn't even out yet, how do you know these guys are not on the list?

Ichiro is definitely deserving of being on the list.

Since the first list is wrong, I would say Albert Pujols. He is not in the Mitchell Report. image

I wouldn't annoit any player as clean from this report. It sounds like most of the players named were those who got their 'roids from a specific dealer, so a player's absence doesn't mean much.

thomas gets props for best hitter (and/or Griffey). Pujols needs to seriously put up a few more great years.

Yes, you are right. But (a very big but) better to NOT on the list than to be ON the list.

Glad to see both Pudge and Piazza haven't been named.

  • The last great home run hitters were Mantle and Maris! all this steriod stuff makes me sick. I would never collect a steriod user card, they all stink....

I guess I was thinking of him being part of the era before the "steroid era." But he certainly played within the last 15 years and certainly deserves to be mentioned on the list.

  • In my opinion, every guy listed as an option has probably used a performancing enhancing substance. Sorry guys, but this report just scratched the surface. It didn't uncover much.

every is a very strong word. You can say everybody is suspected, but saying that everybody porbably did is just not right.

Also, Congrats (not sure what else to say) to the Pujols boys on the board. That must have been a hairy hour or so for you two. Im glad he was not on the list.

I'm with you. People are dancing in the streets because their favorite player isn't on the list while baseball is going right down the crapper. It's nice that you're noticing the big picture, guys...

You have to mention Alf Soriano. 30/30 or around there every year even with injuries.

Arod hands down # 1 IMO

The next "tier" Griffey JR and Frank Thomas and I will agree with lil kevie about Soriano as well.
