A serious applause goes to Coinfame (<--Name now fits) for making the first ever Unique pop (1/0) 2007-P MS70FB/SF Roosevelt Dime. This coin looks great in that 70 slab.

But of all coins a Dime,
Ok, so you did good anyway the First Ever Full Band MS70 !!!!!
I believe the Price Guide is setting the price of the Jeff $1 MS70 around $3,500 this week. The dime mght be about as desireable as the $1 the way I see it.
Good to see PCGS looking for those 70's!

<< <i>Nice job Seth! What's up with the ten grand? I didn't even ask half that for my 2007-d Kennedy in 70 >>
If the Kennedy stays Pop 1 I'm sure the buyer did real well

Yes, a unique Kennedy could be worth $10,000 if it stays that way. MS70 Kennedys have happened before, whereas a 70FB dime hasn't ever been made.

Do you know of a MS70 Jefferson that is available currently for $3,500? If so, I'm very interested! The current owner of the coin won't sell it...
The price guide is just that, a GUIDE to help buyers understand the value of a coin. It will change depending on a variety of factors. One of those factors happens to be dealer input and the other is actual sales. If you hand me the 70 Jefferson I'll make sure the price guide editor hears about the new confirmed sale price.
I am not putting a hard price on this unique coin. Make an offer. I am happy to look at it in my set, it may even be a tie breaker coin for a Type Set, Mint Set, or the Roosevelt registry.
Merry Christmas!
Seroiusly though, your most likely buyer for a Roosey is not going to be a Roosey collector but a "best of mint" set collector as roosey collector's are notoriously frugal and barely willing to shell out a few hundred bucks on pop 5 or 6 coins from my experience. Even pop 1 or 2 coins they tend to way underspend as compared to some of the more popular series such as state quarters, lincoln's and Super Sac's. I mean come on there is probably a line around the corner for people willing to pay $2,000 for a 2003-d in 68 and the pop is in the thirites. NGC graded silver proof delawares in 70UC still sell for around $2,000 each and the pop is over 200 in that grade.
I heard the pop 2 KS MS70 from a couple years ago just sold for around $3,500- $4,000? That is instructional if true as well. Wondercoin

We saw a few months ago a 2003 MS70 Lincoln was made and feedback I received about the coin was that it was not worth $7500.00. The coin made its way to TeleTrade and we watched the coin sell for 13 or 14K + the juice on TT!!!! Couldn’t we see the same for a coin like this?
<< <i>I believe the Price Guide is setting the price of the Jeff $1 MS70 around $3,500 this week. >>
With only one coin on the pop report and a private sale of it I Wonder how the around $3500.00 price tag had been set for the guide
<< <i>Seth - Do you know - was the "actual sales price" of the Jeff $1 MS70 higher than the $3,500 opening level in the guide? I >>
I thought I heard it was population rather than "actual sales price" that the Guide was based on, make a coin the price goes down

No comment for now
I heard too many times that when you have a coin such as this it's not worth xxxx but when another dealer has it, you know it's golden.
Seth for now Enjoy the Coin !!!!!!
Forgot we have another Congratulations in order,
Way to go Mark on the 2007 D Kennedy SF MS70 !!!!!
Seth...did you happen to make any '07-P 9FB's?
Congrats again!!

I agree
You can get a 69FB for around 50 bucks. Let me see 50 bucks 10k....50 bucks 10k...give me the 69
Congrats Seth!
I want a MS70 Pres $ too!
There are just never too many around, thus the prices...
The coin was up and gone in 1/2 a heartbeat !!

Working on it,
<< <i>Stooge, I'm sure Seth would work out a payment plan for you for the 10K $833 for the next 12 months assuming no interest. >>
Later, Paul.
<< <i>If you noticed, I never 1X mentioned the price, but since it is the first MS70FB and only the second MS70 Roosie, I would gladly pay 10K for the coin..if I had the loot. I believe PCGS harshly grades Roosevelts from 2005-date. I have send some whoppers in for grading and the best is a 7FB (BS). Seth...did you happen to make any '07-P 9FB's? Congrats again!! Later, Paul. >>
Thanks for the congrats Paul. We found I believe 4 or 5 of the MS69FBs out of the 25 or so on the pop report so far. That's a very low # for how many 1000's of mint sets have been searched. So for there to be a 70FB is absolutely amazing!
<< <i>Seth - Do you know - was the "actual sales price" of the Jeff $1 MS70 higher than the $3,500 opening level in the guide? I think Mark is about right on the half dollar and dime pricing. And, hopefully, the guide will rise on the $1 MS70 rather than drop - that would sure be the goal I suspect of the editor.

Mitch,
Why don't you ask me instead of speculating. (you have my cell phone number). I own the coin. Remember, the one you have never seen? (And its all 70 and Solid for the grade) So ask me, not the boards. Oh, and yes it was HIGHER. (was the "actual sales price" of the Jeff $1 MS70 higher than the $3,500 opening level in the guide?) I really don't care what the price guides say.......try buying one at 4K opening level, then we can talk what the real number and legitamate offers to purchase it have been.
I don't know why people dog the other "makers" and try to cheapen the value of their hard work by posts like this.
Congrats Seth for the 70 Dime, Mark for the 70 D-Kenn and the maker of the only (to date) MS70 Pres $1 (whom wishes to remain annonimous, publicly).
With out "all of you", some of us would only personally be making a handful (50-60%) of the coins we need to continue building "Fine Sets". Trust me I know.
Said my peice, now I can continue to lurk for another 6 months.
Well be talking buddy. WH

Micheal, Don't work tooo hard on it until say July 08.................Right after the set competitions. Thanks.
Nobody wants these stupid dollars anyways. All they are good for are coke machines.
<< <i>You KNOW I have to have that coin (Damn It). >>
Better hurry I hear there 2 - 3 others wanting it also!!!!
Obviously, the guide should not be lower than what you paid. The editor picked that $3500 figure but I certainly could not debate the number with the limited information I had (although I believe I know who actually slabbed it, but of course, whatever he may have netted on the sale was not the same number as what you paid for the coin).

You know Walt your right, when the other guy's post coins with or without pricing you don't see the other "makers" dogging their coins to cheapen the value.
Seth, hope you get all the money you deserve it!!!!!!
Congrats again!!!!
Hey XXX,
I am glad you pointed that out. I have been thinking that for a long time.
Congrats Seth! Good luck with the sale.

Thank You Walt. While we have not accepted an offer yet, I believe it's not going to last long.
