Whats up with this 1922 peace dollar?

I picked up this 22 peace dollar out of a junk silver bin at a farmers market for ten bucks, this thing looks very strange to me. When I look at it under the microscope it seems that the surfaces on this coin are like a light gold or something except for the wear areas where the silver is showing. I dont know how good a picture this will be but both sides are identical. Any chances this is like one of those peace dollars with the strange surfaces?? It just does not seem to be the normal and I looked at very close. Any opinions are greatly appreciated!! Thanks for the help!!

image goldie. I've got about a dozen in my collection. Looks like normal oxidation (toning) of the surfaces.

You could search these boards for "Photo posting" help. I think that's how I learned.

Here's the way I do it. I went to http://www.photobucket.com and I followed the instructions for establishing a free account. Next, I uploaded a couple of images that I wanted to post here (follow the instructions for uploading images to photbucket). Once I had the images uploaded to photobucket, if I wanted to embed those images here on CU, I simply copied the url from photobucket and pasted it in my reply on CU. To paste an image here, when you click on Reply to Thread, there is an icon in the Message Text: header screen that looks like a picture frame with a computer image of a Mtn. landscape. If you click on that image you can paste the URL address in the field and click OK. By this manner you will be "linking" your photobucket image from the photobucket website to your post here on CU.

Goto Photobucket.com and also search these boards for posting photos for more detailed info. I know it sounds complicated, but once you've successfully posted one photo by this method you'll become an expert in no time! Hint: use the test forum on these boards to practice first. Good Luck!

Edited for misspelled words and missing letters once again. image

That is the way Peace Dollars are supposed to look if they've never been messed with.

Typical funky Peace dollar toning. Not bad looking at all, in your case. I just got several in a lot that were bordering on fugly.

For inserting images directly into a message, here's the quickie tutorial. Just type IMG tags in the brackets as shown in black, below. Your URL, or the web address of your picture, will go where the red text is in the example below.

You can either type the tags, or you can use the image icon on your toolbar to achieve the same function.

But how do you find the URL, you ask?

Make the attachment, as you did in this thread, open it so you can see the picture, and the URL will be in the address window at the top of the page, or you can see it by holding your cursor over the picture, right-clicking, and selecting "properties".
