Calling IKE experts . . . submitting to TPG"S

have a couple of nice IKEs that I would like to get attributed - one is a 71D FEP and the other is a 72 Type II - which TPG would you use to get attributed and slabbed - know that ANACS recognizes the FEP and PGCS doesnt - please advise?? Thanks,

I'd send both to PCGS. They will start recognizing them one day and once they do, you can send it back in and they will put it on the label.

I prefer you said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand to post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to!

MorganManic, All 1972S Eisenhower dollars have the peg leg variety. Sorry to burst your bubble.

For the OP, send em both to PCGS. You'll get a solid grade and you can get the FEP attributed later. They will be recognizing them and soon.

I do not see DDO on that coin, of course, it could simply be the picture. My 71S proofs have much wider doubling. I should try to get images of them. I've got four of them (3 pegs and 1 normal).
  • I wonder has anybody got any price history on the ANACS FEP's?

I think PCGS MS65's w/o the designation are bringing $250-$300. Would the ANACS bring a premium over this due to the designation?

  • Here is a partial history of ANACS MS 65 FEP's on eBay and some others

2-Nov $154.34 ANACS 65 FEP (and I don't know if it was labeled as such) eBay # 220165634745
    ? $72 + 5.95 ANACS 64 FEP

    11 Nov $114.50 + 6.00 shipping NGC 65 FEP
    11 Nov $251.19 65
    11 Nov $87.05 64

    4 Nov $265.16 PCGS 65 (FEP)
    2 Dec $208.16 + 9.60 PCGS 65 (FEP)
    2 Dec $81.01 + 7.45 PCGS 64 (FEP)

Now that I typed it, I realize I have very little data.
I have ebay auction numbers for most of these if anybody wants them.
  • Any data yet on MS66 FEP's?

  • I scored a NGC MS66 on the Bay for $285 and another that closed just a minute before mine from the same seller for over $400! How do Ikes generally cross? Do you think a PCGS 66 would happen. Are the expected to list the variety?

It all depends upon the coin. Some will cross while others will not as there is no hard and fast rule.
